developing news in concord. this apartment fire in concord. just got off the phone with the concord police department. this went to two alarms reported at 6:55. under control about a half-hour later. right now, you see crews are doing salvage operations the top apartment is destroyed. no injuries were reported by the concord fire department but the top apartment you can see pretty big holes in the roof. the lower unit was damaged by water as they fought the fire. still smoke coming from this. this is on tyoga road. the nearest big street -- let me pull out from the map. the biggest street is san miguel road. it's right near the b.a.r.t. tracks. it's not causing a major traffic issue. stay with ktvu. we'll have a little bit more on this straight ahead. >>> 8:00. turning to our other top story -- police in vallejo searching for suspects in a violent attack. one person was killed. four others were wounded in a shooting on a home on humboldt street. ktvu's tara moriarty has been on this story since 4:30. you got new information about the victims.

no question this is turning into a major problem here in concord. we are live here off the 1400 block of bel air drive. this is the the apartment complex where some cars were targeted. very nice apartment complex. we saw at least eight or nine cars with their tires slashed this morning. definitely not a good way to start the workweek. according to concord police the tire slashings happen sometime before 7:00 a.m. on sunday morning. that is when the first reports came in. as you mention at least 60 cars had the tire slashed. concord police say the vandals targeted parked cars on glacier drive, bel air drive. it wasn't just one or two tires they say most of the cars had all four tires slashed. last april 37 cars had tires slashed. and on christmas eve four cars had tires slasheds at at an apartment complex also in concord. and there is another case on new years eve of last year. residents understandably fed up. as i take you out here live. the cars parked inside this gated area in here were not targeted. mainly the cars parked outside. no question thi

current temperatures 66 in concord, 69 in antioch. the system as it comes in will increase the clouds and will bring us a slight chance of a sprinkle as we go into late tonight early tomorrow morning but we're all asleep. you're not going to notice it. you may wake up with a little bit of wet on the ground. i think it'll get breezy tomorrow afternoon as that system clears out. so it'll be a crisp clear day probably need a jacket or sweatshirt. with the wind the 50s will feel clearer than that. frost in some of the inland bay valleys. just above freezing in the coldest spots and upper 30s low 40s. this is a system i'm tracking. they're supposed to go a lot of times they'll come down like this or around like this. it probably goes to the eastern corner of california and takes the strength. the strongest dynamics with it. that's why i can't get you any rain around here. that's why it's not going to happen for us in this particular storm. if you go way out there into next week, it's not going to happen again. we're dry into next week too
